We are looking for an Interim Fleet Technical Manager to join our Head office in Bridgewater, Manchester on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract

What will you be doing?

The Fleet Technical Manager will be absolutely front and centre in this mission. One of two Senior Managers reporting to the Fleet Director, the Fleet Technical Manager will provide inspiring and engaging leadership to a team of Fleet Engineers, a Fleet Performance Engineer and a team of Technical Inspectors. By being both challenging and supportive you will enable them to establish collaborative relationships with contract maintenance partners and cross-functional colleagues, deliver class leading rolling stock performance, deliver projects on time and to support the early life phase of the new fleets into day to day delivery.

The Fleet Technical Manager will have the support of the Fleet Commercial Manager. This will allow the Fleet Technical Manager and the Technical Team freedom to focus intensely on ambitious and innovative improvement plans that will define and deliver the future specifications needed to carry TPE's fleet performance on the required trajectory.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally a Chartered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, you're an expert in railway rolling stock engineering. You therefore know all about how it's managed and will have previously delivered on high value performance growth and enhancement projects.
