Salary: £47,500 depending on experience

THE ROLE

You will ensure the bank has robust but flexible modelling and forecasting capabilities to support decision making at Board, SMT and product team levels.

You will maintain and develop the team’s forecasting models with the assistance of the Business Planning Senior Manager, and coordinate with product teams to understand their modelling and ensure robust processes to incorporate their key assumptions and sensitivities into the forecasting modelling.

You will challenge and review product team inputs, support the Business Planning Senior Manager in preparing the financial sections of the annual Business Plan and managing the review and support of these sections.

You will develop and maintain model standards to ensure models are robust and well documented and support the Business Planning Senior Manager in Scenario modelling to support strategic decision making, including the development of business cases and change initiation in liaison with product teams.

You will have experience working in finance, with strong analytical and modelling skills. You will have high attention to detail and strong Excel skills, along with experience forecasting in a complex and dynamic environment.

You will be effective at making decisions, collaborating and partnering, and be driven by continuous improvement.

Some experience of managing budgets and forecasts in the context of Parliamentary and Departmental spending controls would be desirable, in addition being a qualified accountant will be advantageous.
