Salary: ££44,000 per annum to £65,000 per annum

About the Job:

Northern is seeking an experienced hands-on Applications Manager within the IS Systems team with a good mix of analytical and technical skills. This is a key role that will support the integration of new systems, liaise with key business users on their requirements and provide 3rd line technical support for existing applications.

We expect you to be focused and driven with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, who can draw on previous experience while keeping an open mind on the root cause of a technical issue.

About you:

To fulfil this highly technical role effectively you will need:

  • The ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people and build relationships and influence at all levels in the business
  • Programme management, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills with experience managing change in complex and business critical projects.
  • An appetite for learning new technologies and concepts such as Digital workplace, Analytics and Enterprise mobility
  • Experience defining implementing and management application architecture roadmaps for diverse business processes.
  • Experience in supporting Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 and Citrix
  • Working knowledge of networking and its impact on application deployment/design.

The following qualifications are advantageous but not essential:
  • Degree 2:1 or above
  • MCSE
  • CCE-V
  • VMware Certified Professional
