F-35 Senior Demand Planner
Would you like to be part of the Sales and Operations Planning team that supports the F-35 programme which is the world’s largest defence programme aimed at delivering a stealthy, multi-role attack aircraft capable of operating from land and sea to nations across the globe? We currently have a vacancy for an F-35 Senior Demand Planner at our site in Samlesbury.
As an F-35 Senior Demand Planner, you will be working with a multi-functional team made up of project management, logistics and demand management team members. The Sales and Operations planning organisation feeds directly in the F-35 Programme Director and also interfaces directly to the end customer Lockheed Martin whilst facing inwards integrating between the deliver streams Procurement and Manufacturing, the contract teams Production and Sustainment and the enabling functions Project Management, Finance, Commercial, Engineering and Export. You will be working for the Demand Management Lead for the major unit and systems product lines and the dedicated carbon fiber composite facility.
The role is technically interesting being close to the product and manufacturing and supply processes. There is also a significant amount of project management and data interpretation, whilst managing the demand signals in the ERP and across the business.
Your main responsibilities as an F-35 Senior Demand Planner will involve:
Responsibility for aligning supply and demand and ensuring a balanced order book
Responding to and enacting all agreed order book change, within required timescales (including scraps/losses & new scope)
Support reporting of order book data integrity status and progressing integrity actions in the business area
Governance of order book execution process and impact of execution performance to the order book
Liaising with all operations businesses & logistics leads, procurement leads, supply chain leads and sustainment leads to manage order book change impacts.
Liaising with all with all enabling functions (Commercial/PM/Finance) to ensure order book change is enacted within in the given SLA.
Demonstrating the stability and accuracy of the order book, through effecting leading and lagging measures, reported weekly.
Your skills and qualifications:
Proven work experience within a manufacturing and/or procurement operational environment
Demonstrable experience of working with ERP systems
The ability to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders within a fast paced environment
Possess strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders within a multi-functional environment
Strong Microsoft Office experience is needed as you will be required to manage and present data to internal and external stakeholders
An understanding of the F35 product, bill of material, the customer, and the F35 affordability challenges
Extensive experience with using Microsoft Excel to provide data analytics within the S&OP team
