Project Leader - Engineering

Would you like to support in the design, development, integration and management of innovative nuclear build solutions that are beyond the scope of general delivery? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Lead at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
As an Project Lead, you will independently lead, develop and grow a specialist team to deliver projects for novel and standard nuclear build, test and commissioning challenges from concept through to delivery for a wide range of stakeholders.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to join our Nuclear Manufacturing Engineering Department which delivers technical, Engineering and PM capability to multiple programmes.
Your main responsibilities as an Project Lead will involve:
  • Provide
technical expertise across projects and deliver the most appropriate solution for the programme (nuclear, engineering, design, technology, process, governance)
  • Stakeholder
management & engagement across multiple programmes
  • Contribute
to growing the departments capability
  • Secure
project funding, manage budgets and spend profiles
  • Maintain
project governance and standards
  • Identify
areas of improvement or streamlining
Your skills and qualifications:
  • Must
have a strong engineering, technology or technical design background
  • Must
have a level of Project/Programme Management experience
  • Must
have strong leadership qualities – specifically the ability to lead teams, work well within teams, communicate at all levels and support team development within the nuclear sphere (technical and non-technical works)
  • Must
have the ability to effectively negotiate, persuade and influence up to senior management level
  • Must
have strong knowledge in structured process improvement methodologies
What we're looking for in you:

/ BSc – (A degree with significant experience in regulated field)
  • CEng
