Job Description Summary

Support the technical development and management of our MI infrastructure and applications, serving the needs of the wider Retail division. Responsible for a variety of technical support activities including application access and management, analysis and testing, SQL code development, query resolution.

The minimum requirements for the role are:
  • Extensive experience of SQL programming
  • Proven track record of carrying out system admin/changes and user maintenance
  • Experience of detailed data reconciliation, investigation and analysis


    Ideally candidates would will also have some previous experience in the use of the following: SAS, Excel, SharePoint

An exciting opportunity to become a key member of the Operational Reporting team within Retail Bank Chief Operating Office. There will be significant opportunities to help us drive forward a wide range of IT-based technical activities, for which training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supports small changes to BMAs/EUCs, working closely with our stakeholders on requirements and ensuring that strict governance and controls are adhered to

  • SQL development of Extract/Transform/Load processes within a data warehouse environment

  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries raised by our customers

  • Detailed data analysis and output testing, including reconciliation of new data developments to existing feeds and investigation of results

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy

  • Manage and minimise operational risks

  • Accessing data held across multitude of systems ie SQL dBases, SAS data, SharePoints, Excel, Access and Mainframe

  • Support code deployments to live environments, ensuring strict governance is followed

  • Work collaboratively with developers and analysts across teams to co-ordinate large scale IT build activity

  • Supporting user access management for various BMAs/EUCs

  • Ensuring key risks and controls are in place and adhered to on a regular basis

  • Positively influences others by demonstrating core LBG values and behaviours.
