Project Controller - F-35 UK Sustainment

Would you like to work on a fast-moving project within a growing organisation related to a 5th generation aircraft? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Controller at our site in RAF Marham.

As a Project Controller, you will have the opportunity to be involved at the start of a Project as the existing contract is extended and expanded. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of project management activities including CSR’s, Earned Value Management, Risk and Opportunity Management and managing Contract change.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to support the UK MOD in delivery of UK military operations.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Controller will include:

Being responsible for the Project Management and control of all activities necessary to successfully deliver the contract within budget, on schedule and meeting the necessary quality requirements.

Ensuring the contract remains compliant with the company’s Earned Value Management (EVM) accreditation and also satisfying company Project Life Cycle Management and Project Control policies

Working with Control Account Managers (CAMs) to provide timely and accurate Estimates to Completion (ETC), reforecasts and assisting with financial reporting.

Providing robust and clear commentary on any variance to budgeted spend for both internal and external stakeholders such as our local contract management and customer.

Performing time and attendance administration and control, monitoring Works Authorization Report (WAR) and preparing internal contract reporting (attending reviews where appropriate)

Ensuring governance and transparency is applied to all aspects of EVMS / Project Control and ensuring internal / external surveillance audits are fully supported

Supporting delivery of contractual reporting to our customers, ensuring they are on time and to the appropriate quality, providing responses to any queries post submission

Providing technical guidance to the wider project/programme team on all aspects of project control

Your skills and qualifications:


Proven work experience with Project Management toolsets

Proven knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)

Proven work experience of practical project planning and control, including any use of tools such as Microsoft Project or similar bespoke tools

Ability to effectively manage and influence a broad range of stakeholders, both internally and externally

The ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems and make clear, effective recommendations, referring to established precedents and policies as appropriate

An understanding of financial reporting requirements/ principles

Strong IT Skills, including MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


BAE Systems PM applications experience

A degree or equivalent within or closely linked to Project Management

Formal professional qualifications in Project Management such as APMP Accreditation or Prince 2

Finance Reporting/Contract Change/Business Support background

Good understanding of internal governance mechanisms, including LCM / ELCM and ITAR requirements.
