Senior (RF) Test Engineer

Would you like to work with cutting edge products in Radar Technology? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Test Engineer at our site in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be part of an experienced team responsible for the Test & Fault diagnosis of complex Analogue, Digital, RF, Microwave units in a technological manufacturing environment whilst also supporting Design Engineering in investigations and trials.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior (RF) Test Engineer will involve:

Confirming performance compliance of Military Radar Systems (Land and Sea) and embedded Line Replaceable Units (LRU’s)

Performance to be confirmed in accordance with defined specifications

Performance will be ascertained using a wide range of complex bench test equipment and System Near and Far field ranges

Recording product history/compliance using a configuration control system

Key requirement of role is to diagnose defects, from System to sub assembly level as required, identifying defect tends where evident

Supporting Design Engineering with new product integration and design change testing

Supporting and assisting in the training of personnel and sharing knowledge/experience in support of succession planning

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Test Engineer:


HND/HNC/equivalent qualification or experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Strong Knowledge and experience of RF technologies with a broad understanding of other technical disciplines such as analogue, digital.

Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001

Good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office.


Understanding and awareness of Continuous Improvement (CI)

Experience with SAP/ERP system
