Resource and Workload Capacity Planner

Would you like to take on a newly designed role within Enterprise IT Services, supporting the operation of a demand and capacity management capability? We currently have a vacancy for a Resource and Workload Capacity Plannerat our site in Preston - The Strand.

As a Resource and Workload Capacity Planner, you will sit within the Business Operations team, reporting to the Demand and Capacity Manager and operate as a fundamental enabler to EITS. You will ensure there is governance for key workload decisions made by key stakeholders; and provide analysis to enable key business decision’s to be made for continuity and alignment of the organisation across a range of resources.

This role will provide you with an opportunity to manage a broad spectrum of stakeholders such as business groups, EITS personnel and third party suppliers. This role offers excellent career development and progression with an opportunity to study towards professional qualifications such as ITIL foundation.

Your main responsibilities as a Resource and Workload Capacity Planner will involve:

Validate current EITS demand and resource planning capabilities whilst working with the teams to establish a future state proposal to deliver a seamless regular review to maintain topicality.

Collaborate with key stakeholders internal and external throughout the demand and capacity process ensuring information flows both ways seamlessly

Configuration control will be key to ensuring single source of truth and common messaging is transparent between demand and capacity and key stakeholders for resource assumptions

Risk and opportunities to be captured to ensure demand and capacity controls are aligned to ensure smooth project delivery

Conduct scenario modelling and propose options to the senior team for consideration.

Coordinate triage activities to ensure demand requests are dealt with accordingly

Capture and analyse demand, and assess business needs via Service Now Demand Management and support the development of Service Now capacity and resource management

Sources of information will be available from multiple sources

CPC management

Essential skills and qualifications:

Use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum of intermediate level to support analysis working

Resource management and/or demand planning experience

Strong stakeholder management experience

Strong commitment to quality customer service

APICS or basic supply chain management or equivalent qualification desirable

Salary: £30,000
