Lead Project Controller

Would you like to play an integral role in a large project of work managing the performance, delivery and control accounts? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Controller at our site in Portsmouth.

As a Project Controller, you will provide expert project control knowledge to assist Project / Programme Managers with the delivery of multiple complex projects.

This role will provide you with the opportunity for an individual with aspirations to be a Project Manager to gain valuable experience working alongside seasoned Project Managers on exciting projects and gain exposure to different parts of the business.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Controller will involve:

    Auditing Project Managers documentation against the project baseline

      Advanced Project reporting

        Data Analysis & Presentation

          Advanced Project scheduling

            Advanced Problem solving, based on previous experience and knowledge

              Advanced Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/Microsoft packages

                Deputise for the Project Manager, as appropriate

                Your skills and qualifications:

                  Broad Project Controller experience demonstrated in a professional role within a significant business or project.

                    Extensive, expert level understanding of one or more Project Management tools techniques and practices.

                      Knowledge of the Project Management capability landscape including with Professional institutions.

                        Knowledge and understanding of the Business environment for Line of Business or project.

                          Experience of building relationships and negotiating outcomes with internal stakeholders.

                            Relevant PM Qualification is desirable e.g. APM / Prince2

                            What we're looking for in you:

                                Needs to influence and motivate local team.

                                  Developed communication skills to exchange complicated information
