This role will cover all areas of track design. One of the key attractions to working with us are the diverse range of clients for whom we work. Currently, some of our projects include Northern Power House Rail, High Speed 2, design development of various Transport for Wales schemes and a variety of other Network Rail and London Underground projects and support for Projects in Australia and Canada.

The track team undertakes projects of various sizes from the largest international scheme to niche specialist studies, many of which are multi-disciplinary. You will occasionally travel to other UK offices as part of our collaborative approach to work..

We need you to have a Civil engineering degree or equivalent, experience of working with an engineering organisation specifically within the rail sector.

You should have most of the following attributes: -
Experience in all aspects of Permanent way design on Network Rail, from GRIP 1 - 5.
Knowledge and experience of Network Rail design approval process.
Technical design experience.
Capable of producing a wide variety of permanent way design details.
Possess an understanding of system engineering concepts and safety management.
Be familiar with construction and installation methods.
Have an understanding of project planning and costing.
Able to write reports and specifications.

It would be helpful for you to be conversant with Bentley Rail Track or a similar design package, alongside MicroStation and ClearRoute.
