Graduate Development Leader – 13mth FTC
Would you like to create the next generation of talent within our Naval ships business unit? We currently have a vacancy for a Graduate Development Leader at our site in Scotstoun, Glasgow.
As a Graduate Development Leader, you will be responsible for the deployment of the Graduate Development Framework, Accelerate Graduate Programme, Industrial Placement and Summer Internship Programmes for Naval Ship.
As one of the Times top 100 Graduate Employers this role will provide you with the opportunity to work on award winning programmes where you will be responsible for the design, strategy and delivery of our UK based Naval Ships graduates and undergraduates.
Your main responsibilities as a Graduate Development Leader – 13mth FTC will involve:
Ensuring that undergraduate and graduate recruitment requirements are captured, approved and submitted, that suitable Business Unit inputs are provided in support of recruitment literature, websites etc. and that the selection and assessment process is fully supported to deliver a high calibre resource to the business.
Delivering Induction and Immersion Programmes of the highest standard for new recruits which serve to motivate, inspire and welcome them to our business and deliver the relevant tools of the job which will enable a smooth transition into their role.
Providing direction to undergraduates, graduates and associated stakeholders on all policy and governance matters related to their associated programmes ensuring both corporate policies are adhered to and local policies are developed and maintained.
Facilitating ongoing stakeholder engagement through a series of forums including Graduate Forums and Graduate Functional Manager Forums with a view to maintaining consistent programme delivery and development in line with Business Unit needs.
Providing and monitor the effective safeguarding, welfare and support arrangements for undergraduates and graduates throughout their programme, effectively liaising with key stakeholders in support of this.
Lead for all graduate and undergraduate key performance datasets
Acting as the focal point and subject matter expert for all undergraduate and graduate related queries originating from a variety of internal and external sources.
Implementing required changes to the programmes with a focus on quality improvement.
Ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept informed of programme developments and are suitably trained in key processes (e.g. recruitment).
Coordinating undergraduate and graduate participation on stretch assignments and other developmental opportunities.
Facilitating a return to the business of successful undergraduate programme participants.
Championing and take action to deliver a more diverse and inclusive undergraduate and graduate population.
Your skills and qualifications:
Proven experience within Early careers, Youth employment, HR or L&D
Passionate about undergraduate and graduate development with a good knowledge of factors affecting delivery
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Effective leadership and coaching skills
Highly motivated training professional with a sound knowledge of delivering excellence
Strong and effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrates initiate, anticipates challenges and finds creative solutions
