Our Applied Science team needs the support of knowledgeable technicians to perform the experimentation and analysis that underpins their proof of concept and prototyping work. We do exciting work in the clinical diagnostics and health care space and hence need technicians who understand how to run assays in a chemistry/biochemistry setting. Skills such as PCR, general liquid handling and cell culture are all techniques that could be utilised supporting our work developing next generation diagnostic and laboratory automation.

This is primarily a hands-on laboratory role, with you expected to be at the bench 60-70% of the time as well as supporting other lab duties such as preventative maintenance of instrumentation and general laboratory logistics.

This is a great opportunity for a technician who has experience working in an instrumentation lab that would love the opportunity to really broaden out their experience in a highly dynamic environment.

What we're looking for

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates with proven laboratory skills from within a wet chemistry/biochemistry setting, that is ideally comfortable working across a wide range of assays and confident leaning new techniques.

  • Hands-on experience working with a variety of instrumentation and assays
  • Excellent numerical skills and comfortable working with spreadsheets and other data storage/entry software
  • Strong eye for detail, must be methodical and pragmatic in their approach

This role would suit someone who loves being in a laboratory environment and would welcome the variety of projects that comes with working in a consulting environment.
