With the world shifting to a Subscription Economy, GoCardless is powering recurring payments across the globe via our world-first payments network. We’ve cut out the intermediaries by linking together direct debit schemes from around the world to create a simple way of pulling payments directly from customers’ bank accounts.

We process more than $15bn a year, for over 50,000 businesses in more than 30 countries, and we’re growing fast. Our API powers recurring payments for companies like Survey Monkey, Bulb and the Financial Times. It also enables partners including Xero, Quickbooks and Sage to help small businesses to save countless hours spent chasing customers for payments.

To help achieve this we're looking for bright, ambitious people to join our talented sales team and accelerate our growth in the DACH market.

The role:

The sales team at GoCardless combines deep product expertise with a commitment to helping new and existing businesses succeed across a range of industries.

You’ll execute outbound lead generation (calls, emails, Linkedin messaging, events & other social media) to support growing the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the broader Sales and Marketing teams to conduct targeted outbound account prospecting.

We will give you extensive training so you will be able to engage with prospective customers, uncover their needs, articulate our vision and sell our value proposition.

About you:

  • You must have experience working within sales, customer support or in a customer service environment

  • You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset

  • You are driven and results orientated

  • You are a fast learner and have an ability to understand the finance industry

  • You have a passion for technology, the startup community, and supporting other businesses as they grow

  • You have the motivation and flexibility to work well in a rapidly changing high-growth environment

  • You have superb verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluency (written and verbal) in German & English
