We are looking for an Engineering Change Leader to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract
This is a mobile role with extensive travel
The salary for the Change Leader position is between £50k to £55k per annum depending on skills and experience
The successful Engineering Change Leader will work as part of a Change team to help lead and sustain the roll out of a new Engineering Management approach across Bus Division of FirstGroup.
Responsibilities include understanding, interpreting and communicating the project deliverables, supporting and coaching the local depot leadership team during the implementation, refining the plan based on specific requirements, and achieve, the desired outcomes. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, personal resilience and the ability to remain positive and focussed on the delivery of outcomes. Detailed training specific to the programme objectives will be provided.
Travel, accommodation and sustenance costs will be covered in line with company policy.
What will you need to be considered?
The successful candidate is likely to be self-motivated, confident communicator with experience in Change management within a technical/maintenance environment. Experience with Lean implementation and root cause problem solving is desirable along with the ability to lead, influence and coach others is important. Someone who's managed maintenance depots/workshops would be of interest, particularly if you've had exposure to the bus sector, but this is not essential.
This role will include extensive travel across the UK, particularly the South of England and South Wales, and will likely require significant periods of hotel stays. A level of flexibility will be required in terms of specific working hours (Mon-Fri) to meet the requirements of the programme which may involve leading change across various shifts.
