Brief Description

We're seeking a Project Management Assistant to support the Access Planning Team (APT) in the everyday management of access issues and projects for which they are responsible, in accordance with the Railway Group, Network Rail's company standards, and all current applicable legislation.

About the role (External)

Day to day, you can expect to be involved in:

    Work as part of the APT, to deliver the publication of the Anglia Route Annual Access Plan and deliver the EAS (Engineering Access Statement) through its development.

      Support the process of integrating and de-conflicting rail possessions and the works planned for execution within those possessions.

        Support in the transition of the ACT process to manage the late change of access with train operators, deliverers and the Anglia executive, and other IT system change programmes.

          Assist the transition, development and publication of the Period Possession Plans, DPPP and CPPP.

            Assist the coordination of Network Rail teams to resolve significant business critical access requirement issues.

              Assist the review process of deliverers construction plans to ensure readiness, de-confliction and identify clashes and opportunities to optimise the works and avoid over runs.

                Assist the APT integration of Access Planning Specialists and Access Planners in the use of planning and analysis tools and techniques.

                  Assist and support the APT with business critical issues and areas of focus.

                  You must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

                    Educated to HNC/HND level

                      Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and Word

                        An understanding or experience in the development and or publication of EAS (Engineering Access Statement), or Period Possession Plans

                          An understanding or experience in the delivery of rail renewals, maintenance and or enhancements

                            An understanding or experience in the Anglia rail network

                              An understanding or experience of Engineering Train and SCO capability and operations

                                Experience of supporting IT system change and integration

                                Whilst it's not essential, we'd love it if you are/ have:

                                  Associate Member of the Association for Project Management or other professional body

                                    Green Belt trained

                                      Degree in a relevant subject

                                      We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: Band 5; £27,000 - £32,000. Closing date: 23-September-2020.
