The advisory and programme delivery division delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity from £million's to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting, education and healthcare management.

Our environment and water portfolio is primarily a UK based business delivering project, programme and commercial management services to regulated water/wastewater clients and the Environment Agency. Our work stretches across the entire project lifecycle, from pre-contract cost estimating and benchmarking to post contract QS services and commercial assurance. For project and programme management we deliver capital projects on behalf of our clients, both internal and external that range from several hundred thousand pounds in value to major projects and programmes worth over £0.5billion. Additionally we are the home of the cost intelligence service, a specialist team of data analysts and economists who provide expert advice across all sectors on inflation and indexation. We currently work with around half of the UK's regulated water and wastewater companies

We are currently looking for a cost intelligence consultant to join our team in London.

The cost intelligence team is comprised of a dynamic team of economists, data analysts and researchers dedicated to collating construction economic data from around the world to help our global clients receive consistently accurate benchmarked cost information.

The successful candidate would undertake an assistant role within the successful cost intelligence team.

The role would initially involve data collection work before moving into a data analysis / reporting role. This new opening within the team offers a real opportunity to learn and develop cutting edge skills in our commercial research services as well as a clear path for progression. The Team also provides other commercial research activities which are split into the following services:

- Creation of bespoke inflation indices
- Regional cost variances
- Cost benchmarking
- Input and assistance with company databases
- Data capture (CAPEX and OPEX)
- Creation of and advice on cost breakdown structures

We welcome application from candidates with the following:

- Educated to degree level in either a construction or any mathematical /quantity surveying or economics based course
- Excellent skills within Microsoft Office particularly excel and database programmes (including knowledge of VBA)
- Experience of producing reports for external clients including dashboards
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of the built environment industry
- Previous experience of working within a similar role

Desirable:
- Knowledge of econometric modelling
- Experience of working within a client facing role
- Chartered in relevant discipline
