Brief Description

Support the team and the delivery of lifts and escalators maintenance and project work to standards and within agreed resource levels.

About the role (External)

Key Accountabilities

1.Support the team in the delivery of lifts and escalators maintenance and project work to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.

2.Assist in monitoring and maintaining all safety requirements relating to the delivery of lifts and escalators maintenance and project works are discharged by contractors.

3.Provide information to update systems, databases and records.

4.Assist in the measurement and evaluation of the commercial value of payments, monitoring the correct certification of works prior to authorisation in accordance with contractual obligations.

5.Monitor and report programme and progress in accordance with reporting systems and guidelines.

6.Monitor contractor performance indicators and provide periodic progress reports.

7.Maintain that all work package plans are supplied to agreed timescales.

8.Maintain that all work and safety records are completed by the contractor, and properly retained.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications


    Knowledge of contracts management

      Ability to work to deadlines

        Good problem solving skills

          Commercial awareness

            Basic negotiation skills with ability to influence decision making

              Computer literate including ability to utilise in-house and external software

                Advanced knowledge of Excel


                  Knowledge of lifts & escalators contracts management

                    Membership (or working towards membership of)a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE)

                      Knowledge of mechanical and electrical services work

                        Able to effectively communicate at the appropriate levels, both internally and externally

                          Experience of using electronic sourcing and/or procurement systems.

                            Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, commercial and financial procedures
