Brief Description

Provide suitably prepared and configured data to support the models used by the Business Support Teams. Undertake data analysis and the production of key modelling datasets and reports.


About the role (External)

Key Accountabilities

1.Manage the download and analysis of current and historic training related data from information reporting systems to provide a data repository of training delivered, associated financial data and key supporting data modelling data.

2.Provide and upload periodic updates to all training related information management tools in preparation for the reporting of KPI's and all related stakeholder requirements.

3.Maintain and improve data integrity, accuracy and completeness within Network Rail Training informational products, ensuring it is fit for purpose

4.Respond to training analysis queries using information collated from the available systems.

5.Provide quantitative analysis of data processing times associated with stakeholder requirements, and formulate proposals for optimum data management and reporting activity.

6.Provide users with expert advice, guidance and support to aid full exploitation of the capabilities of dynamic reports and modelling systems

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience of data management quality processes
  • Experience of systems and software engineering processes and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Expert user level in database and spreadsheet construction, analysis and maintenance capability
  • Proven ability to work systematically and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle models
  • A level.
