Senior Manufacturing Production Planner

Would you like to play a key role managing the scheduling, resourcing and financial performance of the Typhoon production line? We currently have 3 vacancies for a Senior Manufacturing Production Planner at our sites in either Warton or Samlesbury.

As a Senior Manufacturing Production Planner, you will be working within our production facilities. The role will require close collaboration working with various functions including Operations, Project Management, Logistics, Quality and Engineering

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely to Typhoon Aircraft and Aircraft products in a fast-paced environment. There is opportunity to develop yourself and your career within the wider BAES business in the UK and overseas.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Manufacturing Production Planner will involve:

Managing a detailed view of resource demand and capacity in line with the budget and schedule

Evaluating and controlling the embodiment of change, minimising overall business impact

Conducting Project Management of manufacturing related non-recurring activities

Ensuring all structural jigs are cycle checked and tooling is calibrated to plan

Establishing and managing the payment milestone schedule and sales programme

Ensuring maintenance of the control accounts including BCWS, ACWP and BCWP inclusive of formal cost and schedule variance analysis

Supporting routine operational reviews involving key stakeholders

Representing, managing and facilitating all external reporting demands across the various functions

Helping drive improvements into the various toolsets that we currently use, by bringing new ideas that will ensure we continue to remain relevant in a diverse environment

Your skills and qualifications:
Essential:

Experience of Production Planning, Project Management and Project Control in a manufacturing environment

Good analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Project and Excel

Desirable:

Project Management Qualification – PRINCE2, APMP and/or equivalent


Experience of Manufacturing Engineering and change management

Awareness of various Manufacturing processes

Understanding of Continuous Improvement or Lean principles

Knowledge of ERP planning parameters in line with planning discipline governance

Location: Warton/Samlesbury
Salary: £37,654+
