Job Description Summary

Working as part of the Investigations, Insider Risk & Data Loss Prevention team within the Chief Security Office, you will be part of an exciting team which helps to detect and prevent data loss incidents and fraudulent activity identified as part of the Cyber threat landscape and insider risk threat.

We are currently seeking a Technical Specialist to work within the Strategic Projects & Technical Development team who has experience of Data Loss technologies and an understanding of User Behaviour Analytics, the Cloud and Data Loss and Insider Risk threats.

This role involves working collaboratively with colleagues across the Chief Security Office and all Business Units, supporting the delivery of strategic objectives, processes, controls and capability to protect Lloyds Banking Group.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work and interact with people at all levels, a strong analytical approach and the ability to find creative and innovative solutions which will support the delivery of our strategy.

What we’ll need from you:-

  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms (including Microsoft and Google) including understanding of Insider Risk and Data Loss applications and controls
  • Technical knowledge and experience of Data Loss and Insider Risk detection, prevention and methodology
  • Knowledge/experience of User Behaviour Analytics solutions
  • Ability to develop new rules to enhance detection capabilities to mitigate the risk of the Insider Threat and Data Loss
  • Awareness and understanding of Change Management and Route to Live procedures and governance
  • Experience in effective risk reduction management and operational control frameworks
  • Develops an understanding of LBG Policies, standards and regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of platform specific documentation
  • Experience in leading and embedding a continuous improvement culture
  • Develops an understanding of the key stakeholders e.g. business, 3rd party supplier and within CSO
  • Takes ownership in defining his/her Development Plan
  • Ability to take the lead, drive actions and show initiative
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical Key Skills:-

  • Devising innovative solutions to technical challenges
  • Knowledge and experience of managing and configuring User Behaviour Analytics toolsets, including Machine Learning
  • Ability to interpret use cases and configure threat monitoring rules in relevant tools
  • Knowledge of any programming and scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, VBA, Regex and other rule build tools
  • Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources
  • Awareness of Cyber Security industry related best practice
  • Familiarity with Splunk
  • Basic Linux skills
  • Use of tools such as: JIRA, Confluence and Microsoft Teams
  • Management of sensitive data in accordance with best practice
  • Insider threat knowledge including use cases and 3rd party solutions
  • Writing technical documentation
  • Change governance
