The Equities Middle Office is responsible for a variety of functions supporting the Equity Derivative, Equity Financing and Cash Equity trading businesses.This covers multiple markets and products including OTC equity derivatives, cash equities, and exchange traded derivatives. The transformation team supports automation and strategic projects for the Equities business

Seeking an experienced Project Manager focused on end to end, cross-functional business transformation

The Project Manager will join the Global Equities Transformation Team focused on transformations specific to end to end support of the Global Equities Regulatory Team

Role & Responsibilities

You will be required to:

  • Manage implementation of new regulatory requirements

  • Develop relationships with program stakeholders in front office, middle office, compliance, legal and technology.

  • Provide governance and program structure, including regular updates at all level up to and including business executives

  • Plan, delegate, control, communicate and monitor allocated projects in all stages from initiation through to completion.

  • Create and maintain necessary project artifacts including business cases, project plans, stage plans, issue reports and other necessary documentation

  • Understand the business and control environment

  • Identify and understand business problems and utilize problem solving techniques to design sustainable solutions

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics and skills:

  • Project manager with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience and proven track record of managing and implementing end to end change, ideally in an Investment Bank or Financial Services environment

  • Good understanding of the products and markets in which JPMC operates – in particular Equity Derivatives products and associated transaction lifecycle

  • Strong knowledge of Equity Derivative external and internal architecture an advantage.

  • Knowledge of derivative regulations a plus – for example, MIFIDII, EMIR, CFTC, ASIC, HKMA, NCMR, 871m, CATs etc.

  • Previous experience in Middle / Front Office / Operations Management an advantage

  • Ability to develop strong working relations with stakeholders and interact with all staff levels.

  • Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to develop cross functional relationships across multiple regions.

  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently under little direct supervision

  • A self-motivated team player with ability to build rapport and liaise with colleagues at all levels and across functions in a collaborative manner in order to achieve results

  • Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and demonstrate critical thinking

Ability to manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines
