Project Leader – Risk

Would you like to play a key role responsible of developing processes, managing and developing tool sets? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Leader – Risk at our site in Barrow in Furness.

As a Project Leader – Risk, you will be Leading, informing and proactively contributing to the development of risk based Project Control processes and tool sets.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with the most advanced machinery in the world which is critical to the UK's defence capabilities.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Leader – Risk will involve:

Keeping abreast of latest methodologies and technologies and incorporate into the business where appropriate

Exercise influence on the Projects through application of knowledge and sound judgement

Delivering tactical risk interventions in a multidiscipline/multifunction environment

Developing / enhancing risk management and associated toolsets to establish single source of truth datasets and auto generation of reporting

Delivering risk-based training material

Enhancing competency levels of risk management communities

Development of project level approach to risk management

Ensuring coherency and effectiveness of organisation approach to risk management and associated disciplines

Specific and generic training material for use across the Submarines enterprise

Development of discipline networks across the enterprise.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential skills

Confident/capable approach based on several years’ experience in a risk management/analyst role

Possess high level of numeracy and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

APM Qualification or other PM qualification

A strong appreciation of Risk Management within PM

Desirable skills

Ability to interface with people at different levels and skills within the organisation, including senior stakeholders.

IRM, OGC (M_o_R) or APM qualifications
