Would you like to play a pivotal role in the development and work of the process teams? We currently have a vacancy for a Process Leader at our site in Glascoed.
As a Process Leader, you ensure process teams are aligned to business objectives. You will do this by leading, managing and motivating the teams, taking responsibility of your own area. You will be responsible for the health and safety; people and performance management; quality and waste; effective utilisation of labour and delivering products to the manufacturing schedules assigned.
This role will provide you with the ability to enforce change within the organisation, by taking care and leading your team to meet company targets. You will do this by introducing lean manufacturing principles, developing and implementing continuous improvement plans and developing working with a flexible and competent multi-discipline workforce. You will be given training to develop your skills in scheduling and programme management and have the opportunity to gain qualifications to support your career development over time.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS FOR A 6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT WITH A VIEW TO GO PERMANENT
Your main responsibilities as a Process Leader will involve:
To lead, manage and motivate the teams to take responsibility for their own area, and to ensure that all activities are being carried out to a high level, via shop contact time.
Key areas of responsibility include health & safety, people and performance management, quality and waste, effective utilisation of labour and to deliver product to the manufacturing schedule.
Ensuring a safe culture by monitoring/auditing activity in their processes ensuring SOP, Licence, WASC and PPE compliance, and to ensure safe working.
Understanding and actively ensuring that the quality standards/specifications for their processes are met.
Understanding and challenging, that all production hours and waste/reject materials are being booked accurately by the TC’s on SAP.Escalating any effectivity losses with a recovery plan to Process Managers.
Responsibility for highlighting high performance with reward & recognition nominations, to the Process Manager
Ensuring absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance issues are managed in accordance with Terms and Conditions working alongside the Case Management Team.
Enhancing manufacturing performance through the introduction of lean manufacturing principles, and to develop and implement continuous improvement plans, and to develop a flexible and competent multi skilled workforce
Your skills and qualifications:
Minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline or relevant manufacturing experience
Experience managing individuals in a large-scale manufacturing site
Awareness of cost & commercial aspects of the business
Proficiency in Microsoft Packages
IOSH Safety Qualification
Proven experience using SAP System
What we're looking for in you:
To be effective in this role you will have the ability to influence others through effective negotiation, great stakeholder management skills and effective communication skills (both written and verbal). The ability to manage others workloads, prioritise and motivate others will give you a clear advantage in this supervisory position. The ability to self-start in this role is key due to the length of the contract.
