We will collaborate with customers to develop, design and deliver national technology programmes which aim to provide innovation and technology advancement to our network, which in turn will make us more efficient and effective.

Brief Description

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who will be able to direct, develop and manage connectivity Products / Services for our Telecoms (NRT) team. This will involve continuously improving the value proposition, cost and profitability to deliver best value and capability to our customers.

Strong communications skills will be essential as you will be required to communicate the our product strategy to senior route and central business owners, along with vendor and other industry groups. This will be alongside leading your virtual team, build strong collaborative partnerships with professional head, technology, legal & regulatory, marketing and other organisations necessary to guide portfolio evolution in line with the Technology roadmap.

About the role (External)

What does the day to day look like?

Day to day you will be working with with senior representatives to capture requirements to manage the delivery through the appropriate processes which will enhance customer experience. This will be alongside providing advice and input to the account management and solution consulting teams to support customer specific propositions.

You will also own and agree all variations to standard products with technical and asset owners, making sure commercial and operational aspects have been considered adequately, that will enable NRT to bring its services to market as efficiently as possible and within its governance regime.

      Feature Request Process

        Product Marketing Requirement Specifications

          Service Catalogue and Product documentation

            Marketing collateral and sales support material in order to create customer value.

            What essential skills and experiences are required?

              Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience

                Extensive knowledge and experience in successfully managing a broad range of Telecoms and/or IT products and services and their associated technologies

                  Significant experience in managing a Profit & loss for a products/ services

                    Significant experience of delivering complex technical services and change, in a large multidisciplinary organisation

                      Strong financial and analytical skills

                        Significant experience in directing industry processes such as Order 2 Cash (O2C), Trouble 2 Resolve (T2R) and / or ITIL

                          Demonstrable excellent influencing skills and ability to communicate and stakeholder manage up to and including Director level.

                            Demonstrable experience in leading Virtual teams in complex matrix environments

                            We would also like, but not essential.

                              MBA or equivalent Post Graduate degree

                                Previous experience in a sales or marketing roles

                                  Experience of Railway telecommunications or a similar safety critical environment

                                    Experience of transforming a product/service catalogue from an asset model to a service model and driving change

                                    Interviews for this role will be taking place on the 24th and 25th August.
