We will collaborate with customers to develop, design and deliver national technology programmes which aim to provide innovation and technology advancement to our network, which in turn will make us more efficient and effective

Brief Description

Who are we looking for?

We are looking or an experienced Scheme Project Manager who will be able to manage projects through various stages of the life cycle whilst assisting with the delivery of the project portfolio managed by the team. This will involve managing the production of project plans and budgets within the agreed targets whilst promoting the use of efficiency improvement methods.

About the role (External)

What does the day to day look like?

Day to day you will be involved with the delivery of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), company standards, current legislation and procedures including HMRI guidance and the Investment Competence Framework.

You will also be involved with managing and reporting on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager (Change).

What essential skills and experiences are required?

    Successful relevant experience including project management.

      Educated to HNC/HND or similar standard.

        Good interpersonal and communication skills.

          Project safety management experience

            Knowledge of Oracle Projects

              Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures.

                Knowledge of commercial and financial procedures.

                We would also like, but not essential.

                  Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management or other professional body.

                    A degree or equivalent.

                      Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
