The Network Services Directorate incorporates key national functions affecting all regions and routes including our National Operations Centre and Freight and National Passenger Operators team. Its purpose is to provide leadership and oversight for national operational performance, network-wide initiatives, programmes and strategic capability. Network Services promotes the importance of the railway operating as a national network, driving up performance and delivering improvements for passengers and freight users.Network Services will offer specialist and unique services across the network to enable and support our regions in improving the railway for all. We will collaborate with customers to develop, design and deliver national technology programmes which aim to provide innovation and technology advancement to our network, which in turn will make us more efficient and effective
Who are we looking for?
We are looking or an experienced Scheme Project Manager who will be able to manage projects through various stages of the life cycle whilst assisting with the delivery of the project portfolio managed by the team. This will involve managing the production of project plans and budgets within the agreed targets whilst promoting the use of efficiency improvement methods.

What does the day to day look like?
Day to day you will be involved with the delivery of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), company standards, current legislation and procedures including HMRI guidance and the Investment Competence Framework.
You will also be involved with managing and reporting on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager (Change).

Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: £32,740 - £36,832 + Inner London allowance £3,200
