Senior Quality (Software/Data) Engineer

Would you like to play a key role maintaining the Engineering and Digital Services Quality Management System? Our engineers are tasked with outsmarting, out designing and out predicting complex problems. Are you ready to deliver assurance where it counts? We currently have a number of vacancies in our Engineering and Digital Services business stream for Senior Quality Engineers at our site in Portsmouth Naval Base and Portsmouth Broad Oak.

Digital Transformation is having a revolutionary impact on ways of working, demonstrators working with partners and suppliers to de-risk the next generation technologies are becoming the norm. Providing assurance of model-based systems and services is vital to provide the required confidence and validation in a fast paced environment.

These roles will provide you with the opportunity to drive improvement through the business, provide independent assurance, guidance and support to project teams and liaise with Suppliers and customers such as the MOD/RN in support of the delivery of quality outcomes.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Quality (Software/Data) Engineer will involve:

Drive improvement through the business, provide independent assurance, guidance and support to project teams to key stakeholders in support of the delivery of quality outcomes

Deliver assurance of the Engineering and Digital Services Quality Management System.

You will be tasked with outsmarting, out designing and out predicting complex problems

Your skills and qualifications:


Software or data management background (STEM qualified or equivalent experience)

Lead Auditor qualified

Must have strong auditing experience

ISO 20000 and Tickit experience

You will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills. This will allow you to motivate teams and lead cross functional groups, whilst critiquing and tailor issues and ideas respectively in written reports and presentations. Furthermore you will ensure accuracy and clarity across delivery streams.
