This movement is made possible by dedicated administrative, technical and analytical support. With such strong support in place, we're ready for even the toughest challenges.
You'll provide a diverse team with vital technical and administrative support. It's a varied role spanning everything from data collection and analysis through to vehicle management.
About the role (External)
The Eastern Region (East Coast, North & East and East Midlands Routes) CEFA/CAFA Project Management Team work across the full portfolio of Network Rail's Building and Civils Assets. We oversee the annual delivery of over 25 000 examinations and assessments ranging from simple Visual examinations to complex load bearing assessments on challenging structures. Successful delivery of on-time and accurate reports is critical to ensuring the ongoing safe running of the railway.
This 6-month temporary Technical Clerk post is central to the safe, on-time and to-quality delivery of examinations and assessments. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to support the Scheme Project Managers with their portfolios and ensure the management of changes and technical queries and issued and closed out to timescale. Strong excel skills are essential as is a keen desire to improve current processes. The post is an excellent opportunity to develop your data management skills and potentially join the team permanently.
1.Manage changes to work annual workbanks ensuring requests are issued to set timescales
2.Ensure Technical Queries from Contractors are issued to the correct engineers and suitable responses issued to set timescales
3.Aid weekly reporting for the Scheme Project Managers
4.Improve current reporting systems to help improve quality of information passed to the Route Asset Managers
