The Northern Powerhouse Rail Programme Biggest rail programme after HS2. NRP will link the 6 major northern cities (Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, hull & Newcastle) with frequent fast trains. Your work will assist in crafting new or upgrading existing rail routes. By combining analysis and project management you can assist us in this transformation.

Brief Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the Senior Programme Development Manager in managing relationships with internal and external partners, including building presentations, writing reports and providing other briefings
  • Collaborating with the NPR Team to influence key decisions using analytical evidence
  • Delivering high quality concept train plans, including capacity and performance analysis, which incorporate customer and industry needs
  • Consistently deliver commitments to time, cost and quality

About the role (External)

Essential

  • Good partner and customer relationship leadership skills, with experience of building and influencing effective multi-functional, working relationships, to improve the railway network
  • Good knowledge of the infrastructure and train service issues
  • Experience in performance analysis methods, tools and techniques.
  • Ability to build good working relationships, influence and connect with people of al levels including presentations and briefings
  • Ability to write coherently, combining analysis technical information into a concise output that can be easily understood by clients and partners
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including the identification of conclusions and recommendations
  • Understanding of programme management methodologies, principles and tools

Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised. If your current salary is above the maximum shown you will transfer into the new role on your current base pay.
