Would you like an exciting new role working within a growing environment? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Accountant at our site in Samlesbury.

As a Project Accountant, you will provide financial support across a number of F35 Sustainment contracts.The incumbent will take on responsibility for budgeting, monthly forecasting, processing and reporting of key financial salients. The role will also cover Cost base support within the Sustainment business.Working cross-functionally as part of an integrated project team is key to this role.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to learn and work on various exciting projects on the F35 programme.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Accountant will involve:

Project Accounting Support for a variety of sustainment spares & repairs contracts, working closely with the Integrated Project Team (IPT) offering financial support and guidance

Preparing monthly forecasts, 10-year Integrated Business Plans, Sales & Margin Trading plans and Contract Status reports

Preparing Financial slides for various monthly reporting packs with detailed variance commentary

Preparation and completion of month end financial trading, raising of invoices across various contracts, cash forecasting & debt management

Working with the IPT to progress a plan to drive forward closure across historic contracts and carry out financial responsibilities such as reconciliations as required

Financial point of contact for sustainment costbase, requiring the delivery of robust and accurate costbase IBP & quarterly reforecasts

Adhering to and supporting all Financial Governance, Audits, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and wider BAE Systems processes

Your skills and qualifications:

Ability to manage different demands from multiple customers

Prior experience in consolidating financial information into management reports

Excellent IT skills

Previous Cost base, Management or Project Accounting experience

Part qualified account in either CIMA, ACCA or AAT or equivalent

Salary: Circa £37,654
