Senior Manufacturing Capacity Planner

Would you like to take on a key Planning role? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Manufacturing Capacity Planner at our site in Samlesbury or Warton.

As a Senior Manufacturing Capacity Planner, you will support the Operations Team by providing a topical view of demand across area of responsibility with clear recommendations for appropriate options to discharge demand within available capacity, ensuring achievement of the customer programme.

This role will provide you with exposure to different projects and may include leading a small team.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Manufacturing Capacity Planner will involve:

Managing a detailed view of workload and capacity across area of responsibility in line with the enterprise resource planning (ERP) generated plan.

Analysing the impact of proposed plan changes and recommends responses.

Reviewing and analysing levels of throughput and performance and advise changes to ensure that required levels of workload can be achieved.

Facilitating workload reviews involving key stakeholders including Logistics and Operations.

Maintaining ERP planning parameters in line with Planning Discipline Governance.

Support Business Planning and Resourcing activities

Your skills and qualifications:

Working experience of MRP/ERP systems in a Manufacturing or supply chain environment.

Demonstrable track record in a capacity planning role.

Experience in detail manufacturing; particularly Fabrications, Machining or Composite manufacture.

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Project and Excel.

CPIM Part 1 Qualification or similar is desired.

What we're looking for in you:

You will possess excellent IT skills and have an understanding of Project Management and Project Control principles.

Ideally you will have an understanding of Manufacturing Engineering and change management.

Ideally you will have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Ideally you will have experience managing and developing others
