Planning Project Leader – Planning Process and Capability
Would you like to work in multiple areas across the BAE Systems Submarines Business including Programme, Manufacturing and Test & Commissioning? We currently have vacancies for at our site in Barrow-in-Furness
As a Planning Project Leader you will be responsible for a team who work across all planning facilities/disciplines and engage with other functions to develop the necessary detailed policies, processes and methodologies in support of the System of Work and Transition to Build deliverables
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your technical skills whilst establishing and developing your career at BAE Systems Submarines.
Your main responsibilities as a Planning Project Leader will involve:

Ability to build rapport and build on existing working relationships
Ability to work with different teams at the same time.
Experience of working cross functionally
Experience in Planning capability and process deployment
Previous experience of working with and deploying planning process and capability
IT Skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.

Maritime – Submarines
Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.
The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy with its largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of these state-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, each weighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.
Dreadnought is the successor to the Vanguard class of nuclear deterrent submarines. We will deliver four submarines to the Royal Navy, with the first submarine entering service in the early 2030s. Dreadnought is widely considered to be one of the world's most complex engineering challenges.
