Would you like to be part of our team and Manage the Security Accreditation posture of the T45 and QEC Platforms to achieve and maintain Class Accreditation? We currently have a vacancy for a QEC/T45 Class Project Security Accreditation Coordinator at our site in Portsmouth.

As a QEC/T45 Class Project Security Accreditation Coordinator, you will ensure that both Class security accreditation is maintained throughout the in-service life of the Type 45 (T45) and Queen Elizabeth Carrier (QEC) Platforms by supporting the MOD’s Security Assurance Co-ordinators for both T45 and QEC

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on two of the most modern class of warships in the Royal Navy. Dealing with the ever-increasing cyber threat.

Your main responsibilities as a QEC/T45 Class Project Security Accreditation Coordinator will involve:

Manage the Security Accreditation posture of the T45 and QEC Platforms to achieve and maintain Class Accreditation IAW BP CSM/117, including the provision of advice to the Class Lead Engineers on the application of policy, standards, guidance and products.

Identify High Level Class security requirements and propose changes as informed by regular security risk review.

Collate existing valid Accreditation & Security documentation as delivered by Systems Approval Authority / Systems Technical Authority / Aircraft Carrier Alliance by maintaining a dashboard containing the Information Assurance position of all equipment/systems within the class (in accordance with CSM BP117, Annex E).

Propose updates to technical security documentation, the Class Risk Management and Accreditation Documentation Set (RMADS).

Liaise with the Customer Cyber Defence and Risk Accreditor, SAC and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that T45/QEC Class Accreditation is achieved and maintained through life.

Ensure Physical Security aspects of the T45/QEC Class are maintained and accredited as necessary

Your skills and qualifications as a Project Security Accreditation Coordinator:

Degree qualified in relevant field or equivalent experience.

Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.

Member of a recognised security body

Extensive understanding of security accreditation in a Maritime/Defence Environment. Ideally 5 years’ relevant experience.

Understanding of Warship Systems including management information systems, communications, weapons systems and Computerised machinery control systems.

Extensive knowledge of relevant security policy, procedures and practices.

Being able to represent BAE Water Technical Authorities (WTA), working in a cross customer facing enterprise forum.
