Principal Planner Specialist – Planning Process and Capability

Would you like to work in multiple areas across the BAE Systems Submarines Business including Programme, Manufacturing and Test & Commissioning? We currently have vacancies for at our site in Barrow-in-Furness

As a Principle Planner Specialist you will work across all planning facilities/disciplines and engage with other functions to develop the necessary detailed policies, processes and methodologies in support of the System of Work and Transition to Build deliverables

This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your technical skills whilst establishing and developing your career at BAE Systems Submarines.

Your main responsibilities as a Principle Planner Specialist will involve:

Providing support for the Dreadnought Planning teams, including process audits, corrective actions/continuous improvement and maintenance of process controls and system capability

Supporting software implementations/updates, ensuring that the software is fit for purpose in terms of performance, process efficiency and ease of use.

Providing planning advice to all stakeholders to support decision making and development of the programme plans.

Your skills and qualifications:
Verbal communication

Ability to build rapport and build on existing working relationships

Ability to work with different teams at the same time.

Experience of working cross functionally

Experience in Planning capability and process deployment


Previous experience of working with and deploying planning process and capability

IT Skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.
