Project Controls Leader

Project controls roles within BAE Maritime Submarines will present you with the rewarding responsibility for a package of work. These will in turn, facilitate capture, evaluate and incorporate mutual good practice which will encompass high performance to ensure utmost success.
Your main responsibilities as a Project Controls Leader will involve:
Providing cost expertise to Control Account Managers, including the submission of short term and long term cost forecasts and supporting the delivery of projects within budget.
Reviewing Earned Value information, analysing project performance and providing a performance narrative
Reviewing and tracking plans, cost, commitments, risk and opportunities to understand the reported financial position of the project
Providing risk expertise to project management and Control Account Managers, ensuring timely recognition, prioritisation and reporting of Risk and Opportunities
Providing a key role in the establishment of a credible, integrated Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and maintaining this through a recognised change control process
Developing effective working relationships with stakeholders across a variety of programme functions including project management, cost estimating, planning/scheduling and finance.
Leading and inspiring the performance of team members through regular appraisals as well as capturing, evaluating and conveying good practice in order to inspire teams
Working alongside Operations in the build phase, Engineering in the design space and demonstrating your understanding of the project plan for the area(s) that you support

Maritime – Submarines
Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.
The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy with its largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of these state-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, each weighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.
Dreadnought is the successor to the Vanguard class of nuclear deterrent submarines. We will deliver four submarines to the Royal Navy, with the first submarine entering service in the early 2030s. Dreadnought is widely considered to be one of the world's most complex engineering challenges.
