Part M Regulatory Approval Lead

We currently have a vacancy for a Part M Regulatory Approval Lead within the Maintenance Function at our site in Warton.

As a Part M Regulatory Approval Lead, you will be responsible for the development of a toolset system that is capable of monitoring levels of compliance against Regulatory Articles (RA)/ Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and recording supporting evidence.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to help lead, develop and shape the future of Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Organisations (CAMSO) within BAE Systems; looking at current and best practices from an internal and external perspective and working with the current Lines of Business to help develop the European & International, and US Programmes.

Your main responsibilities as a Part M Regulatory Approval Lead will involve:

Conduct a requirements analysis of the Regulatory Articles and Acceptable Means of Compliance.

Develop and maintain a system capable of measuring compliance, recording evidence and monitoring emerging issues/trends across the Air Sector.

Inform the Maintenance Function risk registers by utilising information based upon multiple data sources.

Help to generate efficient AMC through the removal of duplicate / additive / non-value add requirements.

Inform the assurance programme by analysis of feedback from Risk registers, Safety Compliance & Assurance Reviews (SCARs), Safety Issue Management System (SIMS), Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) & Quality Management System (QMS) analysis.

Compile analysis reports, highlighting any issues for escalation including the status of improvement activities previously identified to promote timely and effective closure.

Use existing specialist and generic IT toolsets to improve the efficiency of the functional documentation set and remove unnecessary administrative burden.

Provide data to support SCARs, and continuously improve Expositions & AMCs

Provide drive and direction to support developing data analysis across all aspects of the business - support the senior management team in understanding the practical applications of data analysis.

Your skills and qualifications:

HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant subject

Good level of Regulatory Framework understanding and the ability to drive this framework structure into the relevant Part M/145/147/66 processes and activities

Excellent general IT skills with proficiency in specialist requirements engineering toolsets and Microsoft Excel

Ability to support a continuous improvement culture underpinned by appropriate management reporting systems and escalation processes

Understanding of all maintenance regulatory codes, including their interaction and application.
