Assistant Management Accountant

We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Management Accountant at our site in Warton.

As an Assistant Management Accountant - IM&T / Transformation, you will be responsible for working as part of team, working alongside IT, Commercial, Project Management, Engineering and Procurement; therefore, your ability to work cross-functionally is vital. A large number of the IM&T / Transformation project team are primarily located across Warton / Samlesbury.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a varied and challenging role within one of the UK’s Leading Defence Companies.

Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Management Accountant - IM&T / Transformation will involve:


Supporting the preparation of the Monthly Financial Reporting, covering P&L and Balance Sheet, and invoicing/journals.


Supporting the preparation of the ISR suite of reports that covers the Transformation Programmes and Cost base reporting for IM&T.


Ensuring appropriate operational focus on understanding of IT cost drivers.


Involvement and support in ensuring that the finance team are supporting both the operational and the function with the appropriate level of support and analysis


Supporting to any internal testing or external audit requirements, and ensure compliance with BAE Systems policies & procedures.


Being a point of contact for ERP system (Infor LN) improvements, and maximising value from the new Infor LN system.


Supporting the raising and payment of invoices to be raised onto other Line of Business

Your skills and qualifications:


Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience.

Microsoft office skills - highly skilled excel user; word/PowerPoint a good understanding.

Able to develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders (finance & non-finance) and be flexible in a changing environment.

A financial analysis background.

Previously worked in a business customer facing experience.

Salary: £32,600 +
