Accessibility and Integration Manager

Manchester with regular travel across the North of England and into Scotland

With over £500m invested in new trains and upgrades delivered at stations, TransPennine Express needs a motivated self-starter to lead our efforts to ensure that our services are accessible to all, are integrated with other modes of transport and that we are an active and supportive partner in the communities we serve. That's where you come in.

As our Accessibility and Integration Manager, you will lead on making our train services and stations accessible to all and ensure compliance with changes in legislation and/or policies. You will be the TransPennine Express representative on industry accessible forums and regulatory bodies on such matters.

You will also promote and support the development and delivery of schemes that improve the integration of our train services with other forms of transport. This includes updating station travel plans and developing cycle-rail schemes.

You will also work to support the communities we serve, coordinating business engagement and promoting the most effective use of franchise funding and other investment to maximise the value we can bring to the regions we serve. In all areas of the role, accessibility, integration and community, you will also look for opportunities to secure additional funding to enhance the services we are able to offer our customers and communities.

For this role, you will have excellent stakeholder management skills, with a focus on building and developing strong relationships as well as being a respected influencer with fresh solution-based thinking. You will have a good understanding of issues and opportunities in the areas of transport accessibility and integration, aligned with a passion to engage with and support local communities. As the role will look after the delivery of projects that will be central to improving accessibility and integration across TransPennine Express, demonstratable experience of successful project management is required.
