Operations Manager

We currently have a vacancy for an Operations Manager at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As an Operations Manager, you will be predominately working with cleaning, confined spaces, heavy lift teams, scaffolders and the customer. You will contribute by helping the build teams to safely deliver the build boats on time to the Royal Navy.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in lots of different parts of the build process across multiple boats in different facilities. The role is extremely varied, no two days will be the same and there can be progression moving around the business to learn different skills sets within different areas.

Your main responsibilities as an Operations Manager will involve:

Your skills and qualifications:
Essential Skills:
Proven track record of people management

Coming from a service provisions background / maintenance manager for sizeable industrial facility


At least two years' experience in similar role

Track record of process improvement and process adherence


Desirable Skills:
Experience in confined space regulations

Experience in lifting operations

Experience in managing scaffolding
