As a Project Leader – Engineering Strategy and Performance, you will be able to anticipate and plan for future business landscape, convert vision into meaningful goals and respond proactively to anticipate customer and programme needs and drive high standards of performance through cooperation and teamwork. Understand business and programme performance and surface opportunity to become more effective and efficient in all that we do while ensuring financial performance, participate and lead inclusive ways of working to consider diverse perspectives when making decisions.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Leader – Engineering Strategy and Performance will involve:
Prepare the following content and baseline: stage and exception plans, project management plan, schedule (WBS to OBS), work packages and benefits review plan.
Articulate a clear sense of purpose and meaningful goals
Bring others together to implement a communication and engagement plan
Understand and inform change decisions; through completion of change impact assessments and lead participation in business-wide change programmes
Ensure alignment and integration with other change events e.g. programme 2021, engineering transformation, manufacturing engineering, engineering strategic initiatives
Energise and motivate others
Ensure preparedness and facilitate life cycle management phase reviews and maturity gates
Produce the following reports: highlight reports, issues report, stage reports, lessons reports
Produce and maintain the following records: milestone achievement, schedule, issues register, risk register, change log, lessons log
Build inclusive networks that connect others to achieve high standards or performance
Manage the information flow between directing and delivery levels – activity assignment, resource balancing
Establish and maintain controls – overall monitoring and reporting
Your skills and qualifications as a Project Leader – Engineering Strategy and Performance:
Business Analysis Diploma
Business Intelligence/Analytics experience
Understanding of Microsoft Project

Maritime – Submarines
Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.
The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy with its largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of these state-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, each weighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.
