As a senior leader in Project Execution, you will lead high-performing teams in envisioning and creating complex technology solutions across the firm. This prominent position combines strategic thinking – about industry trends, firm-specific initiatives and relevant technology – with a deep understanding for how to develop and implement programs that can be rolled out globally, and across multiple lines of business. You'll work closely with executive leadership across the firm to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the entire firm. Meanwhile, you'll ensure that your Project Execution colleagues have the resources and guidance they need to deliver timely and relevant solutions. As a key professional in JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global technology group, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading talent in developing programs with broad and lasting implications.
Reporting to the Investment Banking Macro Technology lead, the primary function of the role is to be a central owner to consolidate, track and communicate the delivery commitments across Macro, including Clarity milestones, GIAM deliveries, modernisation milestones, APs and other commitments. The role will involve regular interaction with senior management across Technology, Operations, F&BM and the front office stakeholders.
This role offers the chance to make an impact and drive change and delivery in one of our leading businesses, partnering with a range of senior stakeholders from across multiple business areas. We are interested in somebody who can drive best practice and improve how we manage complex technology change.
Automate the overall process of capturing and tracking commitments to support the Macro application teams and reduce overall bureaucracy and firedrills.
Partner with the embedded project managers (part of the application teams) to consolidate and provide oversight of the commitments across Macro.
Work with the central Markets Projects team to help define best practice and automation of commitment tracking
- Analyze and propose process improvements including automation
- Provide transparency that creates actionable intelligence and help mitigate project execution risk (on time, on budget, on-scope)
This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
Skills and experience
Relevant experience driving large scale technology change
Program and/or project management background
Organized and able to manage multiple timelines across many programs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a range of senior stakeholders who lead both technology and business functions
Ideal experience/background in software development, infrastructure and operations
Ability to prioritize, multi task and drive the agenda under pressure
Working knowledge/experience with multiple development SDLCs, Agile, etc.
Executive presence, ability to communicate clearly to executives, technologists, project managers and business/financial managers
Working knowledge of Clarity, JIRA, Microsoft Project
Expert knowledge in all business processes across an entire line of business, as well expertise in other lines of business and technology disciplines
Track record for managing /influencing high-performing teams on large and complicated programs.
A strong understanding of financial control, budget management, risk management and operations
Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm, and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
