Avionic Supervisor

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the role of an Avionics Supervisor at our site in RAF Coningsby.

As an Avionic Supervisor, you will manage the TMU Output as defined by the Depth Maintenance Plan and be responsible for the day-to-day People management and leadership of the combined team workforce, ensuring adherence to Company Policies, Quality Management, Health and Safety and Environmental Protection mandates


This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in conjunction with the RAF, in performing the maintenance, repair and upgrade activities to meet the requirements of the UK Typhoon fleet, as part of the TyTAN Enterprise Service.

Your main responsibilities as an Avionic Supervisor will involve:

Supporting the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Controller, Phase Leader and Master Scheduler in managing TMU Output as defined by the Depth Maintenance Plan

Day-to-day People management and leadership of the combined team workforce, ensuring adherence to Company Policies, Quality Management, Health and Safety and Environmental Protection mandates

Maintenance of the aircraft IAW the agreed aircraft Statement of Work, being directly responsible for the delivery to Cost, Schedule, Standard and Quality of the programme

Ensuring all deliverables meet the required airworthiness standards, promoting flight safety and ensuring all personnel comply with the overall airworthiness framework

Ensuring that all maintenance tasks are conducted IAW approved data using the approved toolsets, with the correct levels of oversight and supervision. Ensuring the correct compilation of all documentation for all maintenance tasks, and addressing any issues identified with the relevant business area

Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and challenging inefficiency or poor working practices. Implement and drive Lean improvement initiatives

Fostering a just culture in support of the Safety Management System and proactively support Safety Action Groups, MEDA investigations and the timely closure of MEMS actions

Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities, appropriate to the role and take direction appropriately. Must be willing to support, both Night and Day Shifts as required


Your skills and qualifications:

Typhoon Q or type trained and Typhoon Maintenance experience

Intensive knowledge of Depth Maintenance documentation (ESS/IMS and associated toolsets)

B2 Licence Holder or willing to work towards

Knowledge of quality procedures, processes and specifications. Approved Maintenance Organisation (MAOS MIL Pt145) experience

Knowledge of Resolve and raising System Enquiries

Knowledge of scheduled servicing & EVM techniques
