Brief Description

You'll support the production of plans for maintenance, repair and renewal work. Which means you'll help us to keep the network safe and keeping Britain moving.

About the role (External)

You'll support a Delivery Unit Planning team in the production of plans. Those plans - and a range of related activities you'll carry out - will enable our maintenance, repair and renewal teams to make a difference to the network. You'll help to ensure that a difference is made in the right way, in the right place, at the right time.

You'll submit and process a variety of planning requests. You'll help to produce plans and schedules for personnel and resources. And you'll keep our systems and records up to date. We'll look to you for support in making the best use of available resources, so we can do the best job possible. Taking a flexible approach, you'll always be ready to support changes to plans or respond to emergencies. Along the way, you'll communicate with a wide range of people, to make sure plans come together.

Essential Criteria:

    Knowledge of access planning processes and systems

      Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures

        Knowledge of the operational railway environment

          Highly organised

            A good communicator

            Desirable Criteria:

              Familiar with the geography of Britain
