Fund Services Operations in a global organization with over 3000 staff in over 20 locations. It is executing against a strategically important, multi-year change agenda to improve efficiency and automation, and drive a culture of empowerment and creativity, globally. Through material investment in data analytics, visualization strategies and ‘skills of the future’, the traditional ‘operating model’ is being fundamentally re-written.
A key enabler will be the appointment of an experienced Process and Data lead, to shape and oversee delivery of this agenda in partnership with senior Operations, Product and Technology leaders, globally. Central to success will be the ability to embed pack-leading change behaviours and champion ‘skills of the future’ across all levels of the organization.
Representing Funds Services Operations interests vis-a-vis process control and data initiatives.
Executing and implementing Operations process and data priorities and strategy.
Building out an inventory
Driving risk mitigation using tools and frameworks that leverage repeatable process and data solutions across locations and sub product lines
Work closely with Product Development and Resiliency and Control management to embed process and data output from change and control reviews
Partner with CIB and DPS wide data teams to drive the agenda for Funds Services Operations.
Key to the role is leading, shaping and supporting projects, analysis and reporting to address the operational scale and data lineage agenda. These activities will complement the work already performed across the Corporate and Investment Bank by various data, process, control risk and regulatory related functions including:
- Business Control
Operational Risk & Control Management (RCM) and Quality Assurance (QA)
The role is a key part of the FS Operations Management team providing support and challenge within operations globally. The is a champion for the Process and Data transformation program and must ensure that partners, stakeholders and teams within FS Operations understand the direction peer groups within Securities Services operations but also within the scope of a need to define, own and manage process and data.
Analysis and Insight
Curate relevance data sources, data access and availability to support descriptive use of data across operations.
Apply data science methods to support insight, decision making and action.
Governance & Oversight
Manage control forums including content and agenda, action tracking and closure.
Set and govern standards for data and process event capture and escalation, metrics, proactive review standards, data usage.
Interpret new and revised policy and standards.
A number of skills will be important in this role including:
Knowledge of the funds services, transfer agency and fund accounting businesses and product sets.
