The Digital & Platform Services Operations teams support the Corporate & Investment Bank and its partners and functions including Technology, Data Science, Client Service, Product and Platform as well as other businesses and stakeholders across the firm.

Markets Operations supports all asset classes including equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities. Services provided encompass trade support, pre-execution support for electronic trade systems and vendor platforms, client servicing, regulatory reporting and controls, as well as asset servicing, clearing, settlement and collateral management, vaulting and movement of physical commodities and billing support for clients and partners in over 100 global markets. Our external clients include Asset Managers, Pension and Life Funds, Government Funds, Hedge Funds, Broker Dealers, Global Custodians, Agent Banks, Corporations, Retail clients and other Financial Institutions.

Digital Client Services (DCS). A newly formed organization which integrates a number of client servicing teams within Market Operations with the vision to provide value added service offering through a technology enabled digital platform model. The team’s operating model combines diligent operation of current services with an entrepreneurial, outcome focused build and delivery ethos.

Job Description

The Head of Product’s role is to lead the newly formed Product team within Digital Client Services. This team will work with all the DCS team leads and research, design, develop and deploy client service products wgich will be distributed, facilitated through our platform. The Head of Product will be responsible for building a product organization as well as influencing a product culture through broader team. Therefore in this role, how one operates is as important as what one delivers. This is a global role, which requires prior product experience at a product company in financial services. Direct experience of building innovative products through combination of interdisciplinary skills and knowledge including understanding of market structures, technology and clients is preferred.

Summary of Responsibilities

Build a product strategy and roadmap which will support Digital Client Service team’s strategy and provide clients (internal and external) with value added services

Build an exceptional product organization, mentor and inspire the members of the team to do their best work and grow in their capabilities and career

Build our product development process with focus on innovation, iteration and impactful deliverables. Make our product roadmap actionable with clear milestones and measurable impact

Work across Digital Client Service organization, collaborate with various SMEs, DCS platform team and service team leads as well as broader Market Operations and Digital Platform & Services teams to ensure alignment as well as creation of end to end opportunities

Communicate the next generation in digital and client services to our stakeholders and clients

Skills and Qualifications

  • 15+ years financial services experience with responsibilities in product development and management experience in at financial technology combined with commercial business development roles in institutional markets in investment banks, banks, or market infrastructures is preferred

  • Strong problem solving, collaboration, communication and presentation skills

  • Solid execution and delivery track record of innovative products, services

  • MS in a quantitative discipline, e.g. Engineering, Sciences, or similar in competitive BSc degrees

  • Must be curious, hardworking and detail-oriented, and motivated by complex problems

  • Ensures re-use and sharing of ideas, promotes a collaborative learning environment
