What’s the Role?

We are looking for a QA Lead to join out DAX Technology team (the folks that build all of our clever digital advertising software).

Over the past 18 months, we have built an entire software deliver capability from scratch along with some pretty awesome software to power Global’s DAX offering.

As the team grows, we are looking for a QA Lead to help us to expand our QA capability and continue to drive good QA practices within the team.

Within that role, we are looking for someone to help with:

  • Implementing best QA practices including how QA is an intrinsic part of QA delivery (QA first, not at the end)
  • Define and implement Team Test Strategies
  • Managing our other QAs in DAX Technology (currently 3 people but we’re looking to grow) including clear direction for the quality specialists in our teams
  • Effective quality reporting and dashboards for the teams and also for wider technology management
  • Recruitment of QA focussed people
  • Building great software

What skills are we looking for?

  • Technical QA Lead (Java)
  • Autonomy to pull together framework/testing approach for holistic picture
  • Compliments team quality frameworks
  • Champions and drives quality practices in teams
  • Automation over repetition
  • An understanding of potential pitfalls including siloing QA
  • Autonomy to pull together framework/testing approach for holistic picture
  • Compliments team quality frameworks
  • Champions and drives quality practices in teams
  • Demonstrable experience of managing QA within fast-paced, highly capable, agile software teams
  • Experience of working with Java based technologies
  • Experience using cloud platforms, in particular AWS

On top of that, you’ll be someone who:

  • Has the ability to talk about complex technical issues in both technical and non-technical speak
  • Has the ability to absorb complex technical and commercial information, combined with a willingness to learn new and novel frameworks and architectures

  • Has a positive attitude towards standardisation and is keen to encourage department-wide adoption of suitable technologies, tools and approaches
