Summary

As part of CTC, you will lead a regional effort in EMEA and help shape a global view of the key regulatory, policy, and national security issues facing the firm, the industry, and the financial system.Forming partnerships and alliances is critical to pursuing our goals of policy and advocacy.You will interact with the public sector, industry peers, trade associations, think-tanks, academia, and consortia.You will deploy your leadership skills and knowledge to design policy approaches and advocacy strategies.You will work with a wide array of internal stakeholders and partners including the offices of Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Risk, and Compliance. You will work with world-class subject matter experts across the frim in cyber and technology to derive leading policy positions and support partnerships.You’ll analyze best practices, new policies, and emerging trends to strengthen our overall strategic roadmap. You’ll keep senior management, managing directors and stakeholders in the loop, as well as managing people and budgets. As part of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global team of policy advocates, your work will have a massive impact, on us as a company, as well as the industry, the system, our clients and our business partners around the world.

Responsibilities

  • The TCPP EMEA Lead will design and drive proactive policy positions and advocacy strategy toinform and support Global Technology and CTC’s strategic vision for EMEA;
  • Mine data and themes from JPMC’s regulatory engagement experience to inform policy and advocacy development
  • Look ‘around corners’ to determine how emerging government, regulatory and industry-led cyber and related tech policy developments and trends are relevant to the firm, industry, and financial system
  • Foster strong internal relationships and collaborate with partners such as the Global Cyber team and the firm’s Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations, Legal, Risk, and Privacy teams among other stakeholders
  • Provide updates and recommendations to the Operating Committee and senior firmwide leadership
  • Lead engagement with government and industry partners across EMEA
  • Oversee frequent reporting and executive briefing products on project status, policy positions, policy impacts and recommended strategy/actions

Requirements

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • 8+ years of combined policy experience including a strong understanding of (and participation in) federal government, key regulatory organizations, trade associations, and law involved in cybersecurity and policy.
  • Keen understanding of national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to critical infrastructure, financial services industry, and national security
  • Proven knowledge of the latest Cyber Security threat Intelligence and involvement with associated industry and government bodies.
  • Proven knowledge of the implications of IT Risk with industry regulators.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and mediation skills among internal and external stakeholders
  • Noted industry cybersecurity expert, keeping technical skills current and participating in multiple external forums and communities
  • A strong track record of senior leadership to inspire, connect and influence across multinational organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience in critical and strategic thinking
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
