Operations Leader - UK and Ireland

Lenovo is seeking an experienced Leader to improve the operational systems,
processes and strategic planning in support of organizations mission. As
Operations Leader for UK&I your main activities will include the following:

Strategic Planning
Based on market data and Lenovo's strategy, develop & drive the annual /
quarterly / monthly business plans in close cooperation with Market Leader,
Finance, Product Management team and Sales leaders

  • Develop strategic initiatives together with the sales leaders to meet and
    exceed Lenovo's financial targets; review progress throughout the quarter
  • Coordinate and contribute to EMEA reviews

Business Management System

  • Design the business management system (BMS) for all business models in
    cooperation with the Sales leader to ensure operational excellence
  • Driving the Weekly / monthly / quarterly BMS including the definition of
    KPIs and tracks. Challenge input from sales leader. Highlight areas of
    concerns and opportunities
  • Optimize usage of available tools and systems, to make sure all relevant
    KPI’s are measured and tracked, and the appropriate tools are used across all
    business groups / segments
  • Ensure actions / help needed are properly addressed to an owner and
    followed-up on to ensure closure
  • Close alignment with central EMEA functions to ensure timely and accurate
    central business reporting

Sales Plan Ownership

  • Help design appropriate sales plan templates based on Lenovo's short and
    mid-term sales priorities
  • Develop Sales Targets (SI&SO) together with Finance and Product Management
  • Ensure timely target deployment
  • End to End Ownership of target deployment and sales attainment results
    within the market
  • Drive interlock with HR to agree on sales plan design and ongoing
    operational issues

Order management

  • Close cooperation with Supply Chain Team on:
    - Demand Planning incl. liability tracking
    - Critical order status
    - Ownership of the end of product life cycle management process
    - Mode of Transfer optimization

Process optimization

  • Drive proactive process optimization to increase efficiency and transparency
    on BMS, reporting systems, and other strategic initiatives like IT roll-outs

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in sales, product management or sales operations
  • In-depth IT-market knowledge, strong business acumen
  • Prior experience as a people manager would be preferred
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, ability to discuss with (and challenge) senior
    business leaders
  • Proven track record of driving change in an organization
  • University degree; may have a Masters degree or other post-graduate
