Job Description

We are seeking a high-performing Enterprise Account Executive who will have the exciting opportunity to build mind share & adoption within Zendesks top customers.

You will drive sales execution with these accounts by establishing executive level relationships, nurturing existing relationships & creating additional adoption. This requires collaborating with & coordinating the Zendesk executive team & subject matter experts. You will be responsible for top line revenue growth & overall customer adoption.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as a sales background that enables them to easily interact with enterprise customers & operational experience on how to get deals done. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, & technical challenges, with the ability to build & convey compelling value propositions.


  • Manage & develop a subset of Zendesks top accounts

  • Create new relationships & close new business throughout each organization

  • Drive & close account renewal business

  • Establish C-Level executive sponsorship

  • Co-ordinate account planning activity across the account base

  • Develop strategy & objectives for each account in order to align & facilitate best practice for each & every use case & to predict & quantify expansion opportunity

  • For BPO named accounts, serve as day-to-day liaison between the BPO & Zendesk sales, & develop market initiatives to drive incremental revenue

  • Coordinate Zendesk stakeholders, industry & subject matter experts as well as executive

  • Ultimate point of accountability for all customer issues & opportunities, communicating & escalating, when needed, to the Zendesk executive team

  • Follow Zendesk sales process, tracking all critical activities & ensuring a thorough understanding of the status of a deal at every stage of the process

  • Effectively advise & influence customers through consultative selling techniques & relevant marketing campaigns


  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience selling to VP & C level executives

  • 15+ years of software selling experience; SaaS experience preferred

  • Track record of success selling into enterprise companies

  • Consistent track record of success with 6 figure deals

  • Experience managing & closing complex sales-cycles using solution selling techniques

  • Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10% in your company)

  • Strong interpersonal & presentation skills.

  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel
