The Senior Field Marketing Manager, UK&I is responsible for planning and executing multi-channel, multi-touch programmes that create net new sales pipeline, drive customer expansion, improve win rates and increase sales velocity for the enterprise segment. You will partner with Sales to determine the strategic priorities for the enterprise business in UK&I, and you will create a set of marketing objectives and programmes to meet business growth priorities. You will decide the optimal mix of channels and how you will effectively use your budget to hit pipeline and bookings targets.
You will need to employ holistic strategies that span high-touch ABM programmes to always-on email nurture and digital campaigns, to direct mail initiatives, webinars and owned and industry events. To be successful in this role you must forge partnerships with multiple key stakeholders including Sales, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, Customer Marketing, Engagement Marketing and Global Campaigns.
This position reports into the Marketing Director for Western Europe & Emerging Markets and is based out of Zendesk’s UK office in Paddington, London.
Develop and execute measurable demand creation and pipeline acceleration programmes that predictably drive quality enterprise MQLs/opportunities that convert to bookings
Drive alignment with Sales on programmes that influence key pipeline opportunities
Assess performance and create strategies to optimise conversion rates
Ensure and optimise the end-to-end lead management processes in conjunction with Sales Ops, including lead capture, scoring, nurturing, recycle, and SLAs
For the enterprise segment, forecast, measure, analyse and report on the impact of all demand creation activities (both in-person and digital) on pipeline, bookings and sales cycle length
Proactively engage with Sales to determine their needs and work with marketing resources to develop training and content to enable Sales to execute appropriate tactics
Communicate and educate the Sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities
Deep understand of demand funnel KPIs (volume, conversion, velocity, value)
Ownership of database health (growth, quality, deliverability)
Ability to report on cost per inquiry, cost per lead, cost per MQL etc.
Evaluate, select and manage outside vendors that contribute to demand creation and field marketing programmes
What you bring to the role:
8+ years of marketing experience (high-growth B2B SaaS preferred)
Demonstrable experience of growing an enterprise business in the UK&I
Proven record of supporting Sales to meet or exceed pipeline and revenue targets
Expert in cross-channel integrated marketing programmes, with a primary focus of executing events, webinars and direct mail campaigns that convert to opportunities and bookings
Examples of how you have predictably hit pipeline and bookings targets to drive growth
Proficiency in setting-up and executing lead nurture programmes that increase the conversion rate of MQLs created by field marketing activities
Experience owning end-to-end execution of marketing programmes and campaigns
Self-starter with drive to succeed in a quickly changing business environment
Planning/project management—highly organised; can juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Comfortable with ambiguity and proven ability to have impact and influence
Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to synthesise raw data into actionable campaign optimisation strategies for new and existing initiatives
Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving and executive presentation skills
Quick learner with ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
Positive attitude, team-oriented, energetic, and optimistic
Previous proven experience working closely with a Sales team
Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree at a minimum
